Dégustation de vins - Wine Tasting

Auguste et Stéphane Duret, viticulteurs de Bois Huaut à Gorges, viennent presenter leurs vins chez Monsieur Charier à La Boucherie (La Jaudonnière) le 21 Mars entre 10h00 et 18h00. 
Venez gouter des muscadets millésimés 1988 et 1990 et laissez vous séduire aussi par la tonicité des rouges : Gamay, Cabernet et surtout l'incroyable ABOURIOU. Et bien d'autres encore ...

Les vins de première qualité sont vendus en bouteille - mais pour le VRAC il faut amener vos cubis et des amis pour que la dégustation soit encore plus agréable !

Wine Tasting - country style.

Mr Duret from Le Bois Huaut, Gorges near Clisson has brought his wines to our region every year for several years.  They represent very good value for money either in bottles or en VRAC (bring your own container).  He also sells excellent olive oil produced by his wife's family in Portugal.  If you are interested this year's tasting is on 21 March at La Boucherie, La Jaudonnière between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm.  This is not the occasion for you cocktail dress and canapès - it all takes place in the barn so wellingtons would be more appropriate!  Here is a resumé of the publicity leaflet which describes the wines on offer.

Dry White

Muscadet sur lie, 2008 - Thei will almost certainly be available en VRAC and in bottles.

Muscadet (vintage 1988/1999) - Yes, it's possible to keep it for 20 years!

Fruity and Aromatic Whites

Sauvignon Blanc - Pinot Gris - Sauvignon Gris

Sweet White

Vendange Tardive Séchée blanche - recommended to be drunk with foie gras.

Rosé

Pinot Noir - sparkling, 'methode champenoise'.

Cabernet - demi sec

Reds

The following 'single cépage' will be available in bottles or en VRAC.  Bring your own 'cubi', leave your order and collect it a few days later;

Pinot Noir - Gamay - Merlot - Arbouriou - Cabernet

A superior 'oaked' version of Cabernet Arbouriou and Merlot will be available in bottles only.  M. and Mme. Duret look forward to meeting you for a tasting on 21 March.
